Rifles like the Ruger 10/22 are recoil-operated and autoload. The Thumbhole Stock 10/22 Target Lite differs from other carbine models in that it does not have a barrel band. This rifle is a delight to fire thanks to the laminate stock’s adjustable length of pull and thumbhole. In the trigger guard’s forward half is a cross-button safety on Ruger 10/22 rifles and carbines. The Thumbhole Stock must be cocked in order to activate the safety. The barrel is cold hammer-forged and is tensioned in an aluminum alloy barrel sleeve, with a thread cap that can be removed to expose a 1/2-28 threaded muzzle for use with muzzle accessories. The standard Ruger 10/22 rotary Thumbhole Stock holds ten rounds, and so does this variant.
